Starting on April 10, items on the hold shelf will be held only 7 days. This is a change from Kenyon Public Library’s 10 day hold policy. This is a SELCO region wide decision to maintain consistency among the region’s libraries. Previously, each library had their own period for how long items were on hold. This caused confusion for staff and patrons. The 7 day hold period begins once the item has arrived here at the Kenyon Public Library and you have received either a phone call, e-mail, or SMS text message from the library indicating that your item is available for pick up. If you do not pick up the item within 7 days the item will be returned to the owning library. Tax Information

IRS appropriations were significantly cut in the 2015 Omnibus Appropriations bill recently passed by Congress. Due to these drastic cuts in funding to the IRS Tax Forms Outlet Program, the Kenyon Public Library will only be supplied forms 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ. No instruction booklets or additional forms will be provided to us.

These changes only affect federal tax forms. Both the federal forms and state forms have arrived at the library.
