Calling all poets!
SELCO is encouraging residents living in the eleven county SELCO region to submit original unpublished poetry to be considered for the 2014 Poetic Strokes regional anthology and the 2014 Word Flow regional anthology for high school youth. Submissions will be accepted from November 1 until December 16, 2013. After the December 16th deadline, qualified judging panels will review the entries and make the final selections for both anthologies.

Pre-school Story Time
Story time is held in the library every Friday at 10:30 am from September through May unless otherwise noted. Story time lasts about one hour. All children ages birth through kindergarten are welcome to attend with an adult. Each Friday a different theme will be featured. For a complete list of themes and dates, please click on the events tab at the top of the page. All story time events are free.
2013 SELCO Blue Ribbon Reader
Thomas Clark, age 10, is SELCO’s Blue Ribbon Reader for this year’s summer reading program. Thomas frequently uses the Kenyon Public Library and steadfastly pursued the summer theme, Dig Into Reading, by digging into history. Thomas was awarded a blue ribbon and four Minnesota State Fair tickets that could be used on any of the 13 days of the Minnesota State Fair – August 22-September 2, 2013.
The Kenyon Public Library is now open the first Saturday of the month from 10 am to noon!
