*ATTENTION*                                                                                            Updated: Nov. 18, 2020

Due to the rapidly rising COVID-19 cases in Goodhue County and our Kenyon community, Kenyon Public Library will be diligently enforcing Executive Order 20-81 requiring patrons over the age of 5 to wear a face mask or a facial covering while in the library. We have not been strongly enforcing this mandate as we do understand that it is not a law. However, the library board has included Executive Order 20-81 in the library’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan therefore making the executive order library policy.

If you do not have a mask, the library will provide you with one. If you choose not to wear a mask, the library will offer you curbside pickup for your library materials, or you may make an appointment for browsing the library during the hours of 8 am and 10 am to ensure the safety of other library patrons.

We respectfully request that you comply with wearing a facial covering while in the library for the health, safety, and consideration for other library patrons, staff, and the greater community. If we continue to see violations of Executive Order 20-81, the library will need to revert to Phase 2 to our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan, Curbside Service with Restricted Building Access.

Respectfully,
Kenyon Public Library Board of Trustees
